The publication Dance Techniques 2010 was presented in Berlin on the 4th of February. It is the first time ever that different modern, post-modern and contemporary dance techniques are so extensively analyzed and compared to one another.
Besides well-known dance techniques like Humphrey/Limón, Cunningham, Jooss-Leeder, Release and Muller, Anouk van Dijk’s Countertechnique occupies a prominent place in the publication. The book provides a theoretical framework for all techniques, as well as a practical explanation of them. The publication also contains two DVDs with almost 20 hours’ footage of lessons, workshops and performances. Dance Techniques 2010 will be available in English and German and distributed worldwide.
