The paintings of the Dutch-British Nik Christensen had already been a source of inspiration for the choreography Bliss, which Anouk van Dijk made in 2007 for the dancers of the Beijing Modern Dance Company. For the creation Wowwowwonders in me Nik Christensen was involved from the very beginning and a fruitful and inspirational collaboration between Anouk van Dijk and him developed.

After his graduation at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam Nik Christensen presented several solo projects like Better Spectacles in 2008 en Some Say Rain is coming in 2006 at Gallery Gabriel Rolt. He is fascinated by the dark side of life, by a point zero and creates new worlds with enstranging figures. However, there is always a connection to the current time.
