Since a few years the Countertechnique is also being taught at Dutch dance academies. At Codarts / Rotterdam Dance Academy the Countertechnique has even become a regular part of the four-year curriculum. Since 2008 all Codarts dance students are offered classes in Anouk van Dijk's movement system. This way they get a thorough introduction into the technique, both physically and mentally. They also learn how to apply the basic principles of the Countertechnique in other technique classes. Teachers Anouk van Dijk, Nina Wollny, Birgit Gunzl, Philipp Fricke, Jack Gallagher en Peter Cseri teach about 150 classes and workshops, varying from technique classes to workshops in partnering, improvisation and injury prevention. This program allows every student to get into contact with the Countertechnique during a few weeks per year.
